At Hook & Shepherd, we take the idea of corporate responsibility seriously.
When we first created the idea for our company, we knew we wanted to create true quality shirts we could be proud of - not just sell something at a lower price than the alternatives.
When we worked to find a manufacturer for our shirts, we consciously chose a smaller firm known for their honesty, quality, and good labor practices over many of the stereotypical 'cheapest possible no matter what'-focused factories that tend to be associated with overseas production.
Today, we're proud to expand our commitment to corporate responsibility into the environmental realm, by announcing that going forward all deliveries on Hook & Shepherd orders will be carbon neutral.
We're able to do this through a partnership with Shopify's Offset program, which calculates the carbon emissions produced by all delivery orders through our website and allows us to purchase carbon offsets for these emissions. The projects our carbon offset purchases benefit are selected by Pachama (at the time of writing, the current project our carbon credits are benefitting is the Jari Pará Forest Conservation Project in the Amazon).
